A Cheer to a Kill
Spirits will be high, as Creative Dramatics performs "A Cheer to a Kill", written and directed by Michele Williams. This satire of a state cheerleading tryout pokes fun at the win or die attitude of the contestants and their obsession with cheerleading.
Jessie Belle, a rich, spoiled daddy's girl, plans on using her money and connections to dictate the contest winner. Heather Tate is annoyingly perky and popular, while her partner, Chip Donovan, is extremely competitive, making this hilarious cheerleading duo a lethal combination. Roberta Krenski, a hopeless nerd longing to be part of the in-crowd, will do anything to make that happen, even as she stars as the butt of all their jokes. Mick Studzer, a very big football hero with a very tiny brain, is only competing to fulfill a bet, and will die if he wins. Competition doesn't bring out the best in these contestants, and when one of them meets with an untimely demise, the rest of them rally as the accusations fly! The audience becomes a part of the show as the tryout judges, allowing for lots of fun and interaction.
Hip-Hip! Whodunit?!
